Last week, our team took California by storm and attended our first-ever VidCon show in Anaheim! VidCon U.S. is a celebration of the online video industry, with content creators and viewers from across the country coming together to discuss all things video. In addition to meeting some talented, well-known videographers attending VidCon, we also had the pleasure of meeting so many aspiring creators.
It’s no surprise that this community was energetic and passionate about learning, and they loved seeing our microphones, headphones, and wireless systems firsthand. But the fun didn’t stop there – VidCon attendees had a blast with our #BigM50 photo op. Hundreds of visitors posed beneath the #BigM50 headphones for a chance to win a variety of prizes, including their own pair of ATH-M50x headphones!
Content Creation Audio Equipment on Display
Podcast and Streamer Equipment
Aspiring podcasters, YouTubers, and streamers at VidCon were excited to use the professional microphones on display. In the A-T booth, we had our AT2020 and AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphones on booms along with connected headphones to allow visitors to hear the exceptional audio detail present in these home project microphones.
We also had a variety of USB microphones on display, including the AT2020USBi and AT2020USB+ Cardioid Condenser USB Microphones, which easily connect to podcasting or streaming setups for digital production. Finally, the AT2005USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone gave VidCon attendees the ability to test out a professional handheld USB mic that also connects to a conventional sound system.
On-the-Go Content Creator Station
Since content isn’t always created at home, we also showcased several products that make on-the-go videos, recordings, and broadcasting easy. For instance, the System 10 Camera-Mount digital wireless systems offer a professional handheld mic and single or dual camera mounts, plus they’re adaptable to a variety of cameras and recording devices.
Another lightweight yet powerful piece of equipment for capturing audio on the go is the AT8024 Stereo/Mono Camera-Mount Microphone. This simple, powerful solution easily attaches to the top of a camera and provides the option to focus recording on a single sound source or to widen the field for outstanding sonic realism.
Additionally, the PRO 24-CM Stereo Condenser Microphone was another great option on display for capturing high-fidelity sound when paired with a camcorder. It also has the option for either battery operation or battery-free operation when used with camcorders that provide plug-in power at the mic input. Like all A-T mics, the PRO 24-CM is built to endure the rigors of field production.
Being able to accurately monitor audio is critical when editing video. Plus, half the fun of creating content is watching and hearing it play back, so we also brought a variety of our professional monitor headphones. From our M-Series line of closed-back monitor headphones, we brought the ATH-M20x, ATH-M30x, ATH-M40x, and the critically acclaimed ATH-M50x headphones.
Year after year, the ATH-M50x headphones are praised by top audio engineers and pro audio reviewers for their coveted sonic signature, robust construction, and comfortable design. These headphones are so popular, we even created a larger-than-life version of them, the #BigM50!
#BigM50 Headphones at VidCon U.S. 2018
The #BigM50 headphones are the giant-size version of our popular ATH-M50x headphones, and we brought them with us to VidCon this year!
Visitors to the A-T booth had a great time partaking in this fun, interactive photo op beneath the #BigM50 headphones. After attendees got their photos taken beneath the #BigM50, they chose a spot on our booth wall to post their photo, and the selected spot revealed their prize. Our team gave away a variety of prizes including pins, earphones, and even some ATH-M50x headphones as part of this activity!
