Jam in the Van is no stranger to hitting the road, and last month the crew and their solar-powered mobile recording studio headed to Austin, Texas for JITV Experience Austin. As a proud sponsor of Jam in the Van, Audio-Technica has provided various microphones and headphones to the studio, which came to life during JITV Experience Austin in the Livestream lounge and demo lounge. Recap: Jam in the Van’s Experience Austin 2019
On March 13 – 17, Jam in the Van descended upon Austin, Texas for a week of non-stop music and content creation. There was a gear lounge for artists to jam in and a streaming lounge where performers were streaming live every day, and of course we had our Jam Van Sessions happening, as well, 46 of them to be exact.
See the full list of artists below and catch new releases dropping every weekday on our JITV Experience Austin 2019 Playlist! Some other highlights from the week included Wyclef Jean filming a music video from his new album Wyclef Goes Back to School. Yola concluding her whirlwind SXSW with a fantastic set in the Jam Van. Two of our favorites, The Marcus King band and Susto got to join the exclusive 3 Times in the Jam Van Club.
We discovered acts who you should all keep your ears and eyes open for like The Shackletons, Super Doppler, Fashion Jackson, and the Seratones. We threw a piano into The Van for Robert Ellis… and our creative director Jack crashed his drone into the side of a hill and made our intern Ben kayak out to fetch it with him. In short, we had a solid time.
