Celebrating Music and Creativity on World Music Day

On June 21st, World Music Day reminds us to recognize all forms of music and the impact it has on the world. As a global manufacturer of high-performance audio equipment for home and professional use, we pride ourselves on celebrating the power that music has on driving creativity every day. Today, we’re putting the spotlight on our sponsored organizations that help support this mission throughout the world!

Playing for Change

Celebrating Music and Creativity on World Music Day

Playing for Change is a movement that was created to inspire and connect the world through music by recording and filming musicians performing around the globe. With the motivation to unite great musicians from different countries and cultures, Playing for Change combines their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called, “Songs Around the World.” The organization also has a Playing for Change Band, which is comprised of some of the musicians met throughout their journey recording and filming music around the world.

Born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people, Playing for Change advocates that no matter who you are or where you come from, we are all united through music. A-T is pleased to also support the Playing for Change Foundation, which is dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world and creating hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.

What started off as a backyard project inspired by a love for music festivals has since turned into a full-blown business venture for founders Jake Cotler, Dave Bell, and Louis Peek. Jam In the Van has filmed over 1,000 bands in a variety of locations, bringing artists and musicians together, one session at a time.
