The Big Show: NAMM 2014

namm pic 1Every year, there’s one event for us that is bigger than Christmas – the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show.

At the 2014 NAMM Show, we unveiled a few big products that our team is really proud of. Big show, big ideas.

Amid the throngs of colorful characters, famous singers, and legendary producers, we at A-T focused this year on listening to what you wanted. When the people speak, we listen. Here are the products we unveiled at NAMM 2014 to keep you always listening.

The New ATH-M50x Studio Monitor Headphones

We upgraded our legendary ATH-M50 professional studio headphones to accommodate you better. The ATH-M50x studio monitor headphones come with three detachable cables: a 1.2-meter straight cable, a 1.2-meter coiled cable, and a 3-meter straight cable, so you can quickly transition from the studio to the street with your over-ear headphones. We also made the headband more flexible and softened the earpads to make your experience more pleasurable.

The sound is the ATH-M50 quality you’ve always loved; we just made it easier to hear wherever you are.

The Wired Gadget Lab had some kind words to say about the ATH-M50x:

“The company has upgraded its much beloved headphone to make it more mobile-friendly and fashion-conscious… so if you want the most excellent audio quality you can get in a headphone for under $200, you now have the option of rocking a cable of the appropriate length, and maybe looking slightly cooler.”

The ATH-M50x was not the only new addition to the M-Series Headphones line. The ATH-M40x, ATH-M30x and ATH-M20x were also introduced at NAMM 2014.  The M-Series Headphones unveiling was one of the top 10 most popular news items on Audio Pro International.

namm4System 10 Stompbox Digital Guitar Wireless

We took the wireless technology of our System 10 digital wireless system, implanted it in a heavy-duty stompbox, and added a slew of new features. The System 10 Stompbox digital wireless guitar system combines advanced, 24-bit operation, easy setup, and clear sound quality.

It operates in the 2.4 GHz range, free from TV and DTV interference. The system changes frequencies on the fly, responding to interference by switching seamlessly to a new frequency. Its two sets of antennas give it solid connectivity. Its dual outputs let you toggle seamlessly between amps by tapping your foot.

Our System 10 Stompbox was awarded “Best in Show” by NAMM University in the “Gotta Stock It” category. In the video below, our own Gary Boss will explain it in detail, right from the NAMM floor.
