Question: What microphone stands can I use with my Audio-Technica microphones?

Answer: All Audio-Technica microphones that include a mount will also include a threaded adapter which allows you to use the mount with any standard microphone stand. There are two standard sizes for microphone stands: 3/8"-16 and 5/8"-27. You may either use the adapter for the smaller 3/8"-16 threaded stands or you may remove the adapter to use the mount with the larger 5/8"-27 threaded stands.

To remove the adapter from your microphone mount, use a wide screwdriver. If you are in a hurry, people have even used a quarter to remove the adapter.

With the adapter removed, you may now connect your Audio-Technica microphone mount to a larger 5/8"-27 threaded microphone stand.
